ABOUT

This one day conference and associated exhibition will bring together key thought leaders and practitioners in plastic use and management. Plastics have become an integral part of our everyday business and social lives; associated with our food, our clothes, our buildings and homes, transport, education, work, leisure and entertainment activities.

On the flipside, the overuse of plastics and their mismanagement after use has become both a national and global environmental concern. Food and water security issues have the potential to become a threat to a nations security. The conference will discuss the leading responsible practices across sectors and the emerging strategies technologies to protect the environment, our ecosystems, businesses and brands.

Society, regulators, markets, investors and our youth want positive change. The issues of plastic contamination from business negatively affecting the environment, rivers, seas, beaches and food and water systems continue to shock us. We need to reimagine and create a new future with responsible plastic management.

We will discuss how Ireland as a country must better understand the issue of plastic as both a necessary form of material in the supply chain and how it can become less of an environmental issue. The industry must learn from best practice how to manage and mitigate the concerns of both producers and end users. Leading experts will discuss challenges across key sectors of Food, Pharma, Construction, Consumer Goods, Fashion, Packaging, Services on how to make the necessary changes within organisations to have a sustainable and optimistic/or confident? existence with the use of responsibly managed plastics.
